Objective of the Visit:
The primary objective of the visit was to fulfill the mandatory field report requirement for B.A. 4th Semester students (both Major and Minor) in the Geography Department. As part of this academic curriculum, students, accompanied by faculty members, conducted a field visit to the Nonoi River at Nonoi Ghat, located in the western part of Darrang District. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to riverine geography. During the fieldwork, students observed and collected information on various aspects of the river, including its course, the surrounding riverine culture, and the human activities associated with it.
