Description of the Programme:

A day long program was celebrated on the occasion of National Education Day, 2024, by Department of Education, Deomornoi Degree College on 11th November, 2024. the program was started at 11.00 A.M.

The program was inaugurated by Hiranmoyee Medhi, Head, Department of Education. She has Delivered a lecture on the significant role of education on total development of individual as well as the whole society. She also highlighted the needs of education in productive development of society and nation. she expressed honour to Moulana Abdul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India and a prominent educationist, as the National Education Day is celebrated on November, 11 of every year to give honour to him. She explained that the National Education Day is observed annually in India and serves as a plateform to advocate for educator's transformative power and the ongoing efforts needed to make quality education accessible to all.

Assistant professors of the department Mr. Abani Saharia and Dr. Nripendra Deka also delivered a short speech each.

A quize competion was organized among the students. The HOD, Hiranmoyee Medhi, hosted the event and scorer Abani Saharia managed the whole process. Jonkey Kalita secured first position, Pulakesh Sarma secured second position and Jeshika Khanam secured third position in this quize competition.

Lastly, at 1.30 P.M., the program was ended by offering a vote of thanks by Dr. Nripendra Deka, Assistant Professor of Department of Education.
